Asset-linked work history

Know what happened to the equipment before.

When a Req concerns specifically identified equipment, REQQER can link the work to that Asset. The next person investigating the same equipment can review earlier Open and Closed Reqs, Activity, Work Duration, and prior repair context instead of starting from zero.

This page focuses deliberately on Asset-linked work and repair history rather than broad inventory or asset-accounting claims.

Repair context

Connect today’s problem to yesterday’s work.

Asset history can include both Open and Closed Reqs so staff can understand repeated failures, related work still in progress, previous repairs, and the labor and Activity associated with earlier service.

Identify the equipment

Use the Asset relationship when the issue belongs to a specific piece of equipment.

REQQER can associate a Work Order with an Asset during Req entry. Mobile also provides an Asset workflow where a user can enter an Asset code, review its history, and create a new Req with that relationship already established.

  • Identify equipment by its Asset code
  • Review available Asset information
  • See prior and current Reqs associated with that Asset
  • Create a new Req already linked to the equipment
  • The new work then becomes part of the Asset’s future history

Prior Activity can answer useful questions:Was this failure seen before? What was repaired? Who worked on it? Was a vendor involved? How much labor did it require?

Useful history, not just an equipment label

Give the next repair a head start.

A linked Asset is valuable because the associated Reqs preserve the work record. Prior Activity and duration can help staff recognize repeat problems, understand earlier repairs, and see whether related work remains Open.

This illustrative Asset History view is intentionally used to communicate the work-history concept without implying broader inventory or asset-accounting functionality.

Where Asset history fits

The equipment relationship strengthens the same Req workflow.

01

Identify

Associate the issue with a specific Asset.

02

Review

Look at current and previous linked Reqs.

03

Perform

Document Activity, labor, vendors, and files.

04

Preserve

The completed Req remains part of the Asset’s work history.

Focused scope

Asset-linked work history without pretending to be everything else.

The public REQQER story here is intentionally specific: connect maintenance work to identified equipment and make prior repair history easier to find.

  • Asset relationship on the Req
  • Open and Closed Req history
  • Activity and Work Duration context
  • Area and Location context
  • New work can continue the history

Related capabilities

Asset history becomes more useful because the Req carries the detail.
